Salmon beach and Boom beach

Start from Bliss haus by following the path along the shores of Loch Ewe. Salmon beach is the first beach you will come across. There are some lovely sandy patches. When the tide is low, you can walk further along the rocks. It needs a bit of scrambling, but it’s fun. You will soon reach Boom beach, a beach with an interesting history. Walk back by the road from Mellon Charles.
Gairloch Beach and Pier

This walk starts at the Golf Course parking in Gairloch. It’s an easy but varied walk through the Flowerdale Arboretum with its beautiful and tall trees. Via the Harbour a path goes up over the peninsula to the gorgeous Gairloch Beach. Link to start point and route map

Rubha Reidh lighthouse and cliffs

You can easily combine a short visit to the Victoria falls and a walk around Slattadale with great views of Loch Maree and the island as well as towards the mighty Slioch mountain.
